Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of statementconverter.co. By using the service, creating an account, uploading a file, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the service.

statementconverter.co is a bank statement conversion and review tool. The service lets users upload supported bank statement PDFs, preview extracted data, review validation output, and export spreadsheet files such as CSV or XLSX.

The service is built for reviewable document conversion. It does not provide accounting, tax, audit, legal, financial, compliance, or investment advice.

Accounts

You may need an account to access some features, higher free limits, paid credits, conversion history, or billing records.

You are responsible for:

providing accurate account information;
keeping your account secure;
all activity that occurs under your account;
promptly telling us if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, create security risk, or harm other users.

Uploads and User Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right and permission to upload and process any bank statement or financial document you submit to the service.

You must not upload files that:

you are not authorized to use;
violate privacy, intellectual property, financial, or data protection laws;
contain malware or harmful code;
are submitted for fraudulent, illegal, or abusive purposes.

You retain ownership of the files you upload and the conversion results generated from those files. You grant statementconverter.co the limited permission needed to process, preview, validate, export, download, secure, troubleshoot, and support your conversions.

Conversion Output and Review

Conversion results may contain errors, missing rows, formatting issues, incorrect classifications, or validation warnings. You are responsible for reviewing all output before relying on it.

Validation output is a review aid. It does not guarantee that a conversion is complete, accurate, or suitable for bookkeeping, tax filing, audit, legal, or compliance use.

The beta service is focused on text-based bank statement PDFs. Unless a feature is clearly offered in the product, we do not promise support for scanned statements, OCR, image-only PDFs, every bank layout, QBO, OFX, QFX, or bank-specific formats.

Credits, Free Usage, and Paid Plans

Free usage and paid usage may be limited by pages, credits, accounts, devices, time windows, or other abuse-prevention rules shown in the product.

Unless stated otherwise, one successfully converted statement page uses one credit.

Failed uploads, unsupported files, system errors, or conversions that fail before a usable result is produced should not consume paid credits. If paid credits are consumed because of a service-side failure, we may restore the affected credits.

Paid plans, prices, included credits, expiration periods, and renewal terms are shown at checkout or in the product. Prices and plans may change for future purchases.

Payments and Refunds

You agree to pay the charges shown at checkout for the plan, credits, or subscription you select.

Payments and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Payment processors may apply their own processing rules, timelines, and security checks.

Acceptable Use

You must not:

misuse free quotas, credits, promotions, or referral mechanisms;
create multiple accounts to bypass usage limits;
run automated scraping, stress testing, or bulk requests without permission;
interfere with service security, availability, or integrity;
reverse engineer private systems except where allowed by law;
use the service to process stolen, unauthorized, fraudulent, or illegal materials;
resell or provide the service as your own without written permission.

Intellectual Property

statementconverter.co and its software, design, branding, documentation, and service content are owned by statementconverter.co or its licensors.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of the service to you. You may use the service only as allowed by these Terms.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process account data, uploaded files, conversion results, payment records, analytics, and support information.

Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We may also update features, quotas, pricing, or supported formats as the product changes.

We try to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, statementconverter.co disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and error-free operation.

You are responsible for independently reviewing conversion output and deciding whether it is suitable for your intended use.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, statementconverter.co will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or financial losses arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold statementconverter.co harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your uploads, your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, abused the service, or caused harm to statementconverter.co or other users.

Termination does not remove obligations that should reasonably survive, including payment obligations, ownership terms, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity.

Unless a specific governing law or venue is later stated in these Terms, these Terms are interpreted to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights that may apply to you.

We may update these Terms and related policies, including the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, from time to time. Changes are effective when posted unless a different date is stated. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms and policies.
